Special class

Inclusivity is of huge importance to our school, and we strive to cater for the needs of all pupils enrolled in Raheen Wood Community National School.

Special Class An Cuan

We have a recently established a Special Class, An Cuan (The Harbour), where the learning needs of children with a formal Autism diagnosis and other Special Educational Needs can be met by a specific teacher and two Special Needs Assistants (SNA) in a child-centred way whilst including the child as a valued member of a mainstream class as much as is practically possible.
